High School Level

Stars, Sight and Science - Summer ‘07, Santa Cruz, CA
Stars, Sight and Science is a four-week course for high school students, designed and taught by CfAO scientists. The students learn about vision, astronomy and optics through inquiry, field trips and projects that they prepare and present at the end of the four weeks. The program is offered in conjunction with the California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS) program at UCSC. Participants live on the UCSC campus with the other COSMOS students and participate in numerous other pre-college enrichment activities:

We are seeking members who can participate in the summer 2007 program (this is most applicable to those at UC Santa Cruz, but also possible for those willing to make a short stay in Santa Cruz.) The following opportunities are available:
