Virtual Telescope

Synopsis: Software to simulate observing with a telescope.
The software is used to predict the signal-to-noise and other parameters of imaging and/or spectroscopic observations as a function of telescope size, detector noise etc.

Platform: IDL running on Unix or Linux.

Operating System: UNIX or Linux (with the IDL astrolib package installed).

Author: Eric Steinbring.

Downloadable file format: A single Unix gzip (.gz) compressed "tar" file.
